And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who have been called according to His purpose.  Romans 8:28

It's hard to believe that we are into the second semester of the school year!  So much left to do and so little time to do it in!
Thanks so much for your generosity at Christmas and my birthday.  My husband and I are looking forward to our trip to the New Theater.   It's definitely one of my favorite places.

           8th Grade Lit
Living History Update
Materials were handed out today for our third quarter Lit project.  The target due date for the paper is, at this point, Feb. 21st.  Depending on the date of the Living History presentations, that may be subject to change.  If it is changed, it will be later, not earlier.

Requirements for the Era Study paper were also handed out today.  I have also posted those requirements on the Project Requirement Page.  Era Study papers  will be due Feb. 6th.

The Era Study will act as our research paper for the year.  I will be teaching specific researching techniques, so please don't encourage your child to "work ahead."  I would like everyone at the same point.

SPELLING

Both 7th and 8th graders will follow the same schedule for spelling this year.  New lists will be given out on Thursdays and final tests will given on Tuesdays.

Students are to complete homework in their notebooks on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays OR Sundays, and Mondays.  Please give a practice test at home on either Saturday or Sunday.

Students have copies of instruction sheets.  If you would like an extra one for at home, please let me know.
