Hope Lutheran School

Thank you all for attending our open house this past Monday evening.  It was a joy for me to meet with all of you and share my hopes and aspirations for your children this school year.  I continue to look forward to watching them grow.

It was wonderful to get such a great response on such short notice to my request for drivers and volunteers for the Starbase program.  We will be leaving promptly at 8:40 Monday morning.  Don’t forget that your child needs to have a bag lunch packed along with a drink.  Starbase has requested that you do not have your child bring pop.  We will be taking a short snack break in the morning so plan on packing a healthy snack also. 

Thank you for such promptness in returning the Starbase permission slip.  If you have not done so, I need it by Monday morning before we leave.  I was told that without the permission slip a student would not be allowed into the Starbase program.

This week we have completed our first chapter in our math book. We will have our first math test on Tuesday.  Anytime we have a test the book will be required to go home the day before for review and practice.  I will see to it that the book makes it out of the classroom; however, it is your child’s responsibility that his/her book makes it home in order to study.

Have a wonderful walk with our Lord this weekend.  Remind yourselves that your children are truly precious gifts from God.  My hope is that you enjoy some quiet moments as a family.
