Students should wear clean clothing, in good condition, and appropriately sized. All clothing
must be hemmed, not frayed, and without holes. Oversized baggy clothing is not
permitted.
All shirts, blouses, and turtlenecks must be tucked in. Long sleeves may not be rolled
up past the elbows. Short sleeve shirts may not be worn over long sleeve turtlenecks or
long sleeve undershirts.
Wear appropriate footwear, no cowboy or military style boots. All shoes must be laced and
tied, with heels not exceeding 2" in height. Shoes must have heels and toes enclosed.
Shoes and socks must be worn. Shoes are available at Parker Uniforms if wanted.
Belts, when worn, must have buckles. No ropes, chains, hooks, suspenders, or items
hanging from the student are permitted.
The following ARE NOT permitted:
- Sweatshirts, sweat pants, and warm-ups
- Pants that touch the floor
- Outdoor clothing such as headgear, sunglasses, gloves, coats, etc. is not to be
worn in the building
- Tattoos or other visible markings on the skin
- Excessive makeup
- Fingernails longer than fingertip length
- Extreme haircuts or hair color - boys' hair must be neat in appearance and not
touch the collar and must clear the eyebrows
- Earrings for boys
- Body piercing (except earrings for girls)
- Extremes in personal grooming or dress.

Shirts: Long sleeve or short sleeve Oxford button-down dress shirts. Solid white or
light blue
Long sleeve or short sleeve Polo shirt; solid white, navy, light blue, red
Long sleeve, solid white, navy, light blue, or red turtlenecks
All shirts are to be purchased through Parker Uniform, Lands End Uniform,
or JCPenney Uniform Catalog. Hope Logo is allowed on any shirt ordered by Lands End
Uniform.
Sweaters: Cardinal red or Navy blue in color – purchased from Parker Uniform only.
Crew neck, vest, cardigan, & v-neck
Sweaters may only be worn over the blouse, shirt, or turtleneck. (Girls may wear
cardigans over jumpers.)
Slacks: Solid navy or khaki- any style offered from approved vendors.
Slacks are to be purchased through Parker Uniform, Lands End Uniform, JCPenney
Uniform Catalog, or JCPenney Uniform Department.
No color trim or lettering is permitted.
Walking Shorts: Solid navy or khaki
Shorts may be worn anytime during the year when the weather is appropriate.

Undergarments:
Must not show any color through the shirt or blouse.
The sleeves of the blouse or shirt must cover the sleeves of the undergarment.
Shirts and blouses must remain buttoned up over the undergarment.
For Girls
Socks: Solid white, navy or tan
Socks must be visible above the shoe
No trim or lettering.
Hosiery: Natural skin color only
No fishnet or sculptured hose
Tights: Solid white or navy with feet
No trim, printing or lettering

For Boys

Blazer: (Optional) navy, single-breasted plain blazer may be worn over oxford

Tie: (Optional) tasteful, conservative patterns that coordinate with the uniform
colors
Used Uniform Store: Used uniforms may be purchased in the Music room at a cost of
$2.00 per item. Please call the school office for additional information.
Seasonal spirit wear may be authorized by the principal and specific notice will be
sent out giving direction; examples;
Hope Sweatshirts during spirit week, tournament shirts during basketball
season.
Scout Uniforms
Scout uniforms may be worn on scout meeting days. Scout sweatshirts
and sweatpants are NOT permitted.
P.E. Clothing - PE uniforms approved by the Board of Education are required for grades
4–8. The uniforms include a logo ash t-shirt and logo black mesh short and need to be
purchased from the school office.
Shoes: Athletic style tennis shoes, non-marking, should be worn during P.E. because
deck type tennis shoes offer no arch support.
