How are those valentine boxes coming?  I am anxious to see all of them on the 14th.  Remember to work on those valentines. Please do not bring the boxes and valentines until Tuesday, February 14.  We will have many things going on in the classroom and will not have a good place to store them.  Our party will take place the last hour of the day.

As you are making out valentines, it is up to you and your child if you want to put names on the envelopes but please be sure that your child signs his/her name on the valentines so that the recipient will know who to say “thank you” to.

We did one hundred math problems this week to in tribute to 100 days of school.  We are getting a little rusty with our math facts.  Please keep working with your child to practice their math facts.  There are flash card practice games on the 2nd grade link page on Teachers of Hope if your family enjoys practicing them that way.

Homework

Remember to check homework folders daily. Please initial it on the date they bring it home, even if you are not marking it until the next morning.
(Please do not sign on that morning's date -  you could not have checked the material for that day before it even came home.)
