Kindergarten Parents:
We did a great job of measuring this week, talked through some social skills, and started some Valentine’s projects.
Next week we will be studying:
Letterbook B
Candy Heart Math
Sea creatures
Jesus’ Miracles
Sharing time sound is B.
Next week we will get together with our 5th grade buddies to make Valentines for the residents at The Sweet Life at Shawnee, a retirement community located on 65th Street, just behind Nellie and Niko’s (the old HyVee store). On Tuesday, February 14th we plan to deliver them personally to the residents there. We will leave about 9:00 AM and should be back about 10:00 AM. Since it is supposed to be winter and we can never be sure of the weather, we would like to have parents available to drive us over. If you are willing and available to go with us on Valentine’s morning, please note that on our permission slip. Since it is so close we could shuttle students over in the same vehicles if we need to make more than one trip. Thanks!!
VALENTINE PARTY is Tuesday, February 14th at 11:00. At the party we will be 'mailing' our Valentines. Please remember to have your child bring in 23 Valentines (signed by your child on the inside of the card with no names on the outside of the envelope, please) to share with their classmates if they would like to participate. Thanks parents for all of your planning!
We need OATMEAL CONTAINERS in on Monday or let me know if you need one from my ‘stock’.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to CAIDEN and GRAYSON who turned 6 this week!
MARK YOUR CALENDAR”S FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 19th!! It is opening week at the new KC SEA LIFE AQUARIUM and thanks to a generous donation, the Kindergarteners will have an amazing experience on a field trip there. Everyone that wants to come is welcome. I don’t have details yet on whether we need to reserve spots for extra parents and siblings, but I will let you know just as soon as I know. I haven’t told the kids yet, but I know they will be excited!!
Our prayers go with Sean Cochran as he leaves next week for training and then on to military service over seas!!
