Third Grade

Computer Lab and Keyboarding

Third grade students will participate in a computer lab twice a week. Once a week students will experience a computer lab session which will include research and drill using the internet. The second experience each week will be a keyboarding class.

Both sessions require students to stay focused on the task at hand, follow directions, cooperate with the instructor, and show respect for both people and property.

Goals will be set for achievement expectations. During lab, the goals are usually short range; while keyboarding will set long range goals for student progress. Though goals may be different for each session, the expectations for study skills remain the same.

Students will receive a computer grade based upon skills and study habits. While achievement expectations will be set, grades will reflect attitude, attention to task, following directions, cooperation, and respect.

We look forward to another great year in the computer lab. Please feel free to call or email, if you have any questions regarding computer classes.
