We are excited and looking forward to our Valentine's Day party on
Tuesday the 14th. We will go to Shawnee Gardens Nursing home in
the morning on party day. Permission slips came home yesterday for
this trip. Please return by next Friday.
Valentines and mailboxes need to arrive with your student on Tuesday
morning. We exchange valentines BEFORE the party. Please have
your child sign the Valentines but do not address them to individual
students. It is easier to give out valentines without names of
recipients.( Party time is 2:30-3:25.)

Math Notes
Students should be able to count by twos, fives, and tens to one
hundred. Please continue to practice this skill at home until your child
is comfortable and can recite the skip counting with ease. Also,
counting backwards is a skill that is easily reinforced at home. This
will help with subtraction.

You Are God’s Valentine
1 John 4:9-10
If Valentine’s Day is all about the giving of love, it should be a celebration of the Creator of love, the Ultimate Giver of love, He who is Love: God– Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 1 John 49-10 sums up the love of God through Jesus Christ. The verses also convey an amazing message: We are God’s Valentine! ©2003 CTA,Inc. used with permission.
